What is The Rink?

With authentic hockey boards running from tee to green, The Rink is set on one of the course’s most exciting par-3 holes; it’s a true celebration of Canadiana. Fans bang the boards and sing “O Canada,” players rep their favourite hockey jerseys, volunteers suit up as referees, and sports and entertainment celebs join the fun. The Rink is a can’t-miss fan zone that’s become a signature part of the CPKC Women’s Open experience.

History

A few years after The Rink made its debut at the RBC Canadian Open, the fan-favourite experience was introduced to the CPKC Women’s Open in 2022 on the par-3 17th hole at Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club. The Rink remained on the 17th hole in 2023 at Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club in Vancouver, B.C., and again in 2024 at Earl Grey Golf Club in Calgary. In 2025, for the first time, The Rink moved to the 10th hole at Mississaugua Golf and Country Club.

What started as a nod to Canada’s love of hockey and golf has grown into a signature fan experience that brings energy, noise, and national pride to every CPKC Women’s Open.
